What is Rattan Mat?

Rattan mat also named as herringbone rattan mat or cane mat.

Rattan mat have to series : one is made by hands, the other is made by machine.

1 ) Rattan Mat Made by Hands

Before the 2003, all the rattan mat is made by hands, one people only can weaving one piece of it. So the production of it will take too much time, the cost will be more higher.

Material : standard is 3.8-4.0 mm of the rattan peel

Not standard will be : 3.0-3.2, 3.5-3.8 mm of the rattan peel

Advantage : It is soft and easy for chair making and decoration for all the rattan project, more smooth.

2 ) Made by Machine

As the human cost in China have  gone up year by year since 2003, more factory try to make the rattan mat by machine. It only can made 5 rolls by machine per day, but now the machine can make 11 rolls of the mat webbing ( herringbone rattan mat), show you the product picture by the following:

The pattern will have some difference between the hand made and the machine made.
