01 / CANE WEBBING FOR RADIATOR COVERS
Rattan Cane Webbing
for Radiator Covers
Choose the right material.
A woven front. A better-looking radiator cover.
Create decorative radiator-cover panels with the warmth and texture of cane webbing. Choose natural rattan, PVC or paper cane webbing to suit your design, budget and heating conditions. For a balance of colour choice and cost, start with our recommended paper cane webbing.
02 / CHOOSE YOUR CANE WEBBING
Natural rattan, PVC or paper?
Compare the benefits and trade-offs.
The same woven look can be made from different materials. Compare natural character, price and exposure to warm, dry conditions before choosing your radiator-cover insert.
01 / NATURAL RATTAN
Natural cane webbing
Premium natural texture. Higher cost.
Choose genuine rattan when authentic natural fibres and individual grain are central to the design.
Advantages
Natural appearance and tactile texture; a premium material story for your collection.
Limitations
Higher price. Prolonged heat and low humidity can dry the fibres and increase brittleness. Keep it away from direct radiator contact and excessive heat.
Price in our range: Higher
02 / PVC RATTAN-LOOK WEBBING
PVC cane webbing
The lowest-cost option in our range.
Choose PVC when a consistent rattan-like appearance and a low material budget are the main priorities.
Advantages
Lowest price in our range; consistent colour and an easy-to-clean synthetic surface.
Limitations
Less natural to the touch. Heat above the selected grade’s limits can cause softening, distortion and accelerated ageing. Confirm suitability for the actual exposure.
Price in our range: Lowest
03 / PAPER CANE WEBBING · RECOMMENDED
Paper cane webbing
More colour choice. A balanced price.
Our recommended starting point for decorative radiator-cover fronts, combining a regular woven texture with coordinated colour options.
Advantages
A wide choice of colours, a consistent woven appearance and a mid-range price for coordinated cabinet collections.
Limitations
Paper-based material needs protection from moisture. Heat and dry-condition performance depend on the grade, reinforcement and finish; approve the selected sample for your application.
Price in our range: Mid-range
OUR FIRST RECOMMENDATION: PAPER CANE WEBBING
Colour, texture and cost—balanced for your cover range.
For buyers developing a radiator-cover collection, paper cane webbing is our preferred starting point. Match the colour and weave to your frame, then confirm the right construction for the intended heating conditions.
✓ More colours for coordinated furniture ranges
✓ Mid-range cost between PVC and natural rattan
✓ Regular woven texture for decorative fronts
Material photographs: Seafan catalogue. Relative prices reflect our material range; final quotations depend on weave, specification and order quantity.
For heating applications, confirm the actual material grade, finish, ventilation and operating conditions. Paper cane webbing is not inherently heat-proof or fireproof.
03 / RADIATOR-COVER DESIGN APPLICATIONS
Woven texture.
Designed around the room.
Hallway console covers
Turn a visible radiator into a console-style feature. Pair a painted frame with a woven front to complement the entrance furniture.
Bedroom radiator cabinets
Use a softer woven texture alongside timber beds, light finishes and neutral fabrics for a coordinated bedroom scheme.
Under-window covers
Fit a framed woven panel beneath the window, with the cabinet proportions planned around the radiator, sill and access points.
Compact hallway covers
Bring the same woven detail to smaller radiator positions. Use a simple frame and proportioned panels for a clean, considered finish.

04 / FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Choose with
the right information.
Which cane webbing materials can I choose for radiator covers?
We supply natural rattan, PVC rattan-look webbing and paper cane webbing. Natural rattan offers genuine fibre texture at a higher price; PVC is the lowest-cost option in our range; paper offers more colour choices at a mid-range price. Final suitability depends on your selected specification and heating conditions.
Why do you recommend paper cane webbing?
For this collection, we recommend starting with paper cane webbing because it balances colour choice, a regular woven appearance and material cost. It is a practical design and sourcing choice for decorative fronts. Any claim about long-term heat or dry-condition performance must be supported by the selected product’s test data.
What should I consider when choosing natural rattan or PVC?
Natural rattan can lose moisture and become brittle under prolonged heat and dry conditions. PVC can soften, distort or age when exposed beyond its grade’s temperature limits. These effects depend on the actual material and exposure; they should not be assumed to occur in every radiator-cover installation.
Does an open weave mean the cover will not affect heat output?
Open weaves provide openings through the front panel, but the performance of the complete cover also depends on its frame, top and bottom ventilation, clearances and radiator type. Follow the radiator manufacturer’s instructions. Do not enclose appliances marked “Do not cover.”
Can I choose the colour, weave and roll size?
Tell us your preferred colour, pattern, panel dimensions and quantity. We will discuss available material options and roll specifications, including allowance for fixing and trimming. Availability, minimum order quantity and pricing are confirmed in your quotation.
Can I request samples before a bulk order?
Yes—contact us to discuss samples for comparing texture, colour, fixing and your intended application. Sample availability, charges and delivery arrangements are confirmed with your request. Approve the selected specification before ordering in bulk.
Do you also accept bulk custom radiator-cover projects?
Yes. Alongside webbing supply, we can discuss bulk custom covers based on your drawings or design brief. Share the dimensions, frame finish, webbing preference, quantity and packaging requirements so we can review the project scope.
What information should I send for a quotation?
Include your target market, material preference, weave or reference image, roll width or panel size and estimated quantity. For radiator use, also share the radiator type, expected operating conditions and cover design so the selected material can be reviewed for that application.
